1. Trump goes off-the-rails during Fraud Trial Testimony

The testimony of the former president Donald Trump in his ongoing New York fraud trial went as expected.

Trump sparred vigorously with Judge Arthur Engoron. He began by asking him to “move it along” and “answer the questions”, as he continued to ramble. The Judge repeatedly repeated phrases such as “the question is” and “let’s ask again”, before ordering attorneys Chris Kise, Alina Habba and others to “control” the client.

“That was an easy yes-no question.” Engoron asked, “I beseech you, control him.” He later added, we are not here for his words. We are here for him to answer questions.

2. Israel-Hamas Conflict intensifies antisemitic and islamophobic hatred crimes

After the deadly Hamas attacks against Israel on Oct. 7 and Israel’s retaliation thereto, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has warned of a “heightened risk environment in the short-to-medium-term.”

The organization stated that “targeted violent attacks could increase as the war progresses.”
