Occupied City is a new documentary by Steve McQueen that charts the fate of a Dutch arts establishment in Amsterdam during the German occupation. The Hollandsche Schouwburg (Dutch Theater) was renamed to the Joodse Schouwburg (Jewish Theater) in 1941. Only Jewish artists could perform there.
