The vice president for brand marketing and creativity at the skincare brand encourages customers not to ignore what they put on their skin. Tru Alchemy’s ingredients are sourced responsibly and free from sulfates silicones parabens fillers and sulfates.

She tells Sonia Baghdady, “We want to be aware of the ingredients in our formulas. We try to find ingredients that are effective and can impact your skin in a healthy and safe manner.” Advocate Now.

Fernandez states that “despite the popularity of the U.S. beauty industry, there hasn’t really been any legislation in place in terms of safety for products and ingredients.” She believes that the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 has been helpful.

On December 29, President Biden signed the MoCRA into law, which requires cosmetic companies to register their facilities and list their products.
