1. The search for a 9-year old girl who was abducted from New York’s campground intensifies

New York State Police is searching for a nine-year-old child who was kidnapped Saturday night, while camping with her parents. Charlotte Sena, a 9-year-old girl, was last seen around 6:15 pm at Moreau Lake State Park, in Saratoga County. This is about 50 miles north from Albany.

She was wearing an orange tie-dye Pokémon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs, and a gray bike helmet. Police say she’s 4 feet 6 inches tall, 90 pounds and has blond-colored hair.

2. The same shortage of drugs and new virus season

Amoxicillin is in short supply for the second consecutive winter. It’s also the most commonly prescribed antibiotic in America. Liquid formulations of the drug — often used to treat children with strep throat, chest and sinus infections, and earaches — are still in short supply.

While capsules and tablets have not been affected by the shortage, young children often can’t swallow pills and instead rely on liquids.
