1. Gaza allows foreigners and injured Palestinians to leave

After a suspension of over two days, foreigners and injured Palestinians have been allowed to leave Gaza via the Rafah border crossing with Egypt. Only 50 people left Gaza on Friday and only 2,000 have been evacuated in the past two weeks.

Israel airstrikes have caused evacuations to be frequently suspended, despite Israel ordering the 1.1m residents of northern Gaza to relocate south. Airstrikes also caused a pause in evacuations on Wednesday of last week.

2. Dwanye D. Johnson, who may not have wanted to run for office but is being pushed by others to do so

Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock”, said that multiple political parties approached him at the end 2022 and asked him to run as president. The actor and ex-professional wrestler shared his story on the What Now? With Trevor Noah In a podcast, several campaigns cited a poll from 2021 that showed 46 percent US adults would support Johnson if the latter ran for President.
