“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
Buddha
There is only one moment and one place you have control of.
The moment is now
However, most people spend a lot more time thinking about the past and reliving happy memories.
Or, we lose ourselves in fantasies of what might happen in the future. Perhaps through daydreaming.
Maybe we create monsters with our thoughts and make scary, dangerous mountains from molehills or air.
Your thoughts could become scattered and distracted between tasks and things.
You may want to be more present in your daily life if you are spending too much time or your day looking ahead to the future.
Here’s what works for me to do that. These are just a few of the simple things I do every day.
1. You can’t do everything at once
Many others, including myself, have written and spoken about the importance and benefits of multitasking in order to accomplish more.
