This weekend was another gorgeous one, so I took advantage of the beautiful weather to work more on my porch. I have to finish sealing and staining the porch boards before my studio cabinets arrive Wednesday. After the studio cabinets arrive, I will not think about my front porch. I pressure washed my entire front porch area two weeks ago, and the boards looked much better. I thought that a small amount of sanding would be enough to remove any roughness from the pressure washing and then seal the boards. As I sanded, the boards’ color began to change dramatically. It became clear that I would not be able to do a simple sanding. It ended up taking me a lot longer than anticipated and I sanded the porch much more thoroughly than I originally thought.
